The registration form and registration fee of $25 must be postmarked by October 31, 2009.
The competition is open to all Ohio students in grades 7 and 8 from public, private and parochial schools or those who are home-schooled. One team (three students, a teacher and an engineer mentor) from an individual school may compete in the Ohio Region finals, tentatively scheduled for January 16, 2010 (tentative snow day of January 23, 2010).
Competition materials (Teacher/Volunteer Handbook, Ohio Region deadlines and one copy of SimCity 4 Deluxe Software) will be mailed in late August 2009. (Software is one disk/one computer.) The first competition deadline is tentatively set for mid-December. The majority of correspondence throughout the competition will be via e-mail.
