National Engineers Week Future City Competition – OhioRegion

 

The registration form and registration fee of $25 must be postmarked by October 15, 2006.

Participation is open to all Ohio students in grades 7 and 8 from public, private and parochial schools or those who are home-schooled. One team (three students, a teacher and an engineer mentor) from an individual school may compete in the Ohio Region finals, tentatively scheduled for January 19, 2008 (tentative snow day of January 26, 2008).

Competition materials (Teacher/Volunteer Handbook, Ohio Region deadlines and one copy of SimCity Software) will be mailed after August 15, 2007. (Software is one disk/one computer.) Please note the first competition deadline is tentatively set for December 5, 2007. The majority of correspondence throughout the competition will be via e-mail.
